    The Civic Trust

Launched in 1959 the Civic Trust Awards is one of the oldest built environment award schemes in Europe. From cafes and churches to housing and hospitals, the Civic Trust has rewarded over 5,500 buildings which have made a difference to local people and their communities by providing the design and facilities which have made better places for people.

2009 is the 50th anniversary of the Civic Trust Awards, and we intend to make this a real celebration. We are looking for partners with whom we can work to make the event a great success. If you manage, own or have access to a suitable venue, we would be interested in discussing our plans with you. The venue will need to be big enough to cater for 600+ winners who will attend the evening event, which normally takes the form of a drinks reception, gala dinner, award presentations and after dinner entertainment

The venue will need to be large enough to cater for 600+ Architects, Developers, Local Authority representatives and Government Agencies who will attend the evening event, which normally takes the form of a drinks reception, gala dinner, award presentations and after dinner entertainment.

We would also be looking to do something different for the 50th Anniversary, so are currently looking at the potential for afternoon lectures/exhibition combined with local guided tours etc prior to the evening event.

If this is something you would be interested in helping us with, please click here and we will be happy to discuss our plans in more detail.
