Volunteer
The Civic Trust Awards rely on a network of volunteers. Without these people, it would not be possible to manage such a large and growing scheme.

Our volunteers are from a variety of backgrounds, from professional architects to local people. Each and every entry to the Civic Trust Awards is judged by a local team comprising architect assessor, inclusive design advisor, local authority co-ordinator and local advisor.

As the scheme continues to grow, we are seeking more volunteers to help us. Judging takes place in October and November each year, and reports from the local teams are submitted online, making the process quick and easy.

Our assessors include the following:

Architect assessors – professionals with at least 5 years experience in a senior role

Inclusive Design Advisors – professionals in the inclusive design field

Local Authority Co-ordinator – representatives from the local authority who are able to give context and background to the planning and development of the scheme.

Local Advisor – local people with an interest in the built environment, who will canvass and represent the views of local people.
