The Arts Council of Northern Ireland hold a formal remit for the promotion of architectural design quality and enhancement of the built environment in Northern Ireland. This award seeks to recognise a project in the region’s capital city which in the opinion of the national judging panel, respects and impacts positively on the civic, shared environment at the highest level. The Council hopes that the Award will act as an encouragement to design professionals working in Northern Ireland and bring to national attention work of exemplary standard there.
