
Stephen Howlett is Chief Executive of Peabody Trust, the leading registered social landlord in London. Stephen’s wealth of experience in the housing sector has spanned many organisations with both local and national scope. He has recently been recognised as one of the Mayor’s London Leaders on sustainability and he serves as a member of the Court of the University of Greenwich.
Victor worked for the Civic Trust for over 43 years. He has been involved with the Civic Trust Awards from its beginning in 1959 and continues to play an important part in the Awards. He has been involved with many aspects of the Trust’s work including the Architectural Heritage Fund to which he still acts as a consultant.
Eelco is a founding partner of GROSS. MAX. Landscape Architects and a Reader at Edinburgh College of Art. He integrates theory and practice of landscape architecture in an extensive output of international projects and award winning competition designs. Eelco is an advisory board member of Architecture + Design Scotland. GROSS. MAX. has been awarded the European Landscape Award 2006 by Topos Magazine.

Michael is a landscape architect, and holds a visiting professorship at the Bartlett School at University College, London. He has served as a Borough Councillor in London, and has worked in landscape architecture in both the public and private sectors, including 10 years at the Greater London Council. Michael has been working with the Civic Trust since 1959

Richard is an environmental engineer. Formerly a director of low carbon consultancy XCO2, Richard is currently chief technical officer of Quiet Revolution, developers of a new design of vertical axis wind turbine optimised primarily for installations on or near buildings.
Building on previous work for the Environmental Design in Architecture course at the Martin Centre in Cambridge University, Richard is co-ordinating a renewable energy systems course for a new Master’s programme at the Architecture Department University of Bath.
Keith Bright is Emeritus Professor of Inclusive Environments at the University of Reading and an independent access consultant.
He is a registered Access Consultant (NRAC) and a member of the RICS Inclusive Environment Consultant Scheme (IEC). He is a member of CABE’s Inclusive Environment Group and the Building Regulation Advisory Committee (BRAC). Keith joined the Civic Trust National Panel in 2007.
His many publications include ‘The Access Manual’, ‘Buildings for all to use’ and ‘The Building Regulations Explained’.

Martin is the former Director of the Civic Trust and past President of the RTPI. His planning experience includes periods with Cheshire and Leicestershire County Councils and with the City of Toronto Planning Board, and he was Director of Planning for West Yorkshire Metropolitan County up until 1986. Now retired, he ran his own planning consultancy.
Julia is a Founder of award winning practice, Marks Barfield Architects, estd.1989 ; ‘Architectural Practice of the Year’ 2001 and, along with her partner David Marks, created the London Eye. Julia has been an Assessor for the RIBA and the Civic Trust, and is on the CABE Design Review Panel. She lectures widely in schools and universities, including Mexico, Rome, Berlin and recently The University of Virginia.
David Prichard is co-founder with Neil Deely of Metropolitan Workshop LLP, having been partner with MacCormac Jamieson Prichard for 25 years. Metropolitan Workshop’s work embraces architectural and urban design commissions for large regeneration and new mixed use communities in cities including London, Dublin and Oslo. David has been a RIBA external examiner, guest critic at several universities and judge for numerous awards and international competitions. David has been a Civic Trust Awards assessor for over 10 years and chaired the National Panel since 2004. He has also been a trustee of the Civic Trust.
