Information about this winner

This repaired and restored Grade II listed timber building now houses the town’s Tourist Information Centre and exhibition centre. This is a sensitively handled scheme, which has been carried out with excellent craftsmanship. The detail of the stairs is lovely, as is the rear elevation. Virtually all areas are wheelchair accessible, which is a real achievement, and makes the scheme an excellent example of a fully inclusive historic building.
