Information about this winner

The sculpture celebrates the life of the 19th century local Gateshead fiddler and is a permanent piece of public art. The scheme includes a bench which is appropriately sited to offer a resting place before the steep descent to the Quayside.  The Blaxter stone masonry matches that of the Tyne Bridge abutment.
