The 2019 Regional Finalists have been revealed for the Civic Trust Awards, Pro-Tem Awards, AABC Conservation Awards and Selwyn Goldsmith Award for Universal Design.
147 projects have been selected from 240 national and international entries following the first stage assessment process. The Regional Finalists will now be reviewed by the Civic Trust Awards and AABC National Panels who will consider them for a National / International Award or Commendation. The SGA Judging Panel will also meet to consider the quality of universal design standards by the assessor nominated regional projects in order to determine the overall SGA winner.
Applicants will be notified on Monday 17th December whether their scheme has been successful at National Panel stage (and therefore a 2019 Winner), or whether it will remain as a Regional Finalist.
Winning schemes will be presented with an Award or Commendation at the 60th Annual Civic Trust Awards Ceremony on Friday 1st March 2019. The event will be held at Imperial War Museum North, sponsored by Sir Robert McAlpine, with tickets going on sale shortly after the National / International Winners are announced.
Award winning projects will also be considered for our Special Awards; given to schemes which demonstrate excellence in a specific field. These include the Special Award for Sustainability, sponsored by Derwent London, the Special Award for Community Impact & Engagement and the National Panel Special Award, selected by National Panel Members as their favourite scheme from the year’s Award winning projects.
