Information about this scheme

High-quality, commercial accommodation, on a site in the centre of Cambridge, has been provided for Jesus College, Cambridge University. The project demonstrates use of innovative design and building technologies to create a highly sustainable building that responds to its historic urban context in a bold yet sensitive manner. It achieves BREEAM Excellent and follows BCO standards, serving as a lasting asset to the College. The design approach was driven by a deep understanding of the site’s historic context and desire to seamlessly integrate the environmental strategy. The onerous planning requirements of the Conservation Area and adjacent listed buildings have not compromised the distinct identity of the scheme. Careful consideration of massing and finesse of detailing ensure that the building will serve as a lasting asset to the College and make a positive contribution to the surrounding area.
