Information about this scheme

Bracelet Close, Corringham is part of the first phase of a five-year social housing development in Thurrock, comprising of twelve new homes arranged around a central communal courtyard garden. The houses have been designed to make the most of the sloping former garage site, with views to the countryside beyond and outstanding levels of amenity and light. The new houses create a memorable and well-functioning space which has been designed around the community’s needs of 2 and 3 bed family homes. Communal interaction was prioritised in the design and at the centre of the development a shared space has sought to enhance a community feel. Multiple entranceways lead residents into the courtyard, where a variety of hard and soft landscaping, seating areas and a number of deciduous trees are located. Bracelet Close is only the beginning for future development of nearby housing. Its relationship to the urban fabric allows for future flexibility throughout the wider estate, prompting discussions about the renovations of existing buildings to match Bracelet Close and create a more comfortable environment.
