Information about this scheme

The accommodation within the new extension comprises the Nursery and three Reception classrooms, together with a central resource space, small hall and support facilities located on the ground floor and three Y6 Classrooms, staff room and central resource space located on the first floor. The building is expressed externally with exposed glulaminated timber colonnades along all four sides providing shelter and shade to external learning / play spaces. The outdoor play areas flow out from the building and the full height glazing to the classrooms develops an environment which flows visually and physically between the outside and inside. The interior of the building is one of openness and light, supplemented by large areas of opening windows providing an internal environment which has high levels of natural daylight and ventilation.
