Five new National Panel Members Appointed

We are delighted to announce the appointment of five new members who join our National Panel from a wide range of professional fields.

The role of the National Panel is to act as a representative group of experts who make the final decision on the level of awards to be given, ensuring national (and international) consistency.

The new appointments for 2015 are:

  • Iain Tuckett MBE - Iain is Group Director of Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB), a development trust and social enterprise which owns and is responsible for developing and managing 13 acres of London’s South Bank.
  • Peter Studdert - Peter is an architect and town planner currently working as an independent adviser on city planning and design based in Cambridge.
  • Hugh Pearman - Hugh is architecture critic of The Sunday Times,editor of the RIBA Journal, an Honorary Fellow of the RIBA, and a vice-president of the Architectural Association.
  • Aileen Wiswell MBE - Aileen is currently the project manager on the "One Public Estate" programme led by Cabinet Office (Government Property Unit) and delivered by LGA. In October 2010 Aileen was awarded the MBE for her charity work in the local community
  • Lindsey Whitelaw - Lindsey is a Landscape Architect and founding partner of Whitelaw Turkington Landscape Architects which she set up in 1991 with Ian Turkington. The practice grew to develop a reputation for high quality award winning work and in 2008 was acquired by a Dutch engineering firm.

The Civic Trust Awards would like to take this opportunity to thank previous National Panel members Nicole Crockett, Bridget Sawyers, Helen Walker and Ann Skippers for their commitment to the Awards scheme over the past 5 years. Their support and expertise has been greatly appreciated.
